Edition
One of one

This finished studio piece is built around a fossil, not petrified wood. The stone is agatized dinosaur coprolite, which means the original material has been replaced by agate and preserved as a quiet record of deep time. We let that fact carry the appeal, and let the stone stay the subject of the work. ring size 8

The bone cell structure has been replaced by agate over millions of years, leaving a visible cellular pattern in earthy tones that catches light differently depending on the angle. Jeremy cut the stone and Les set it into a handcrafted pendant, ready to wear.$650 / pieceOne of one View piece Dinosaur Gem Bone Dinosaur Gem BoneFossil (non-wood), Sourced from Morrison Formation (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico)Agatized dinosaur bone from the Morrison Formation, a fossil that predates nearly everything we touch at the bench. Over millions of years the original bone material was replaced by silica, preserving the internal cell structure in agate. What you see in the pattern is the actual cellular architecture of ancient bone, frozen in stone. Jeremy cut this cabochon at the bench, and the cell structure reads clean and distinct across the face.$350 / pieceOne of one View piece
